Production version of the Volkswagen T-Roc SUV has been teased again by the automaker. The T-Roc SUV was first shown off to the world at the 2014 Geneva motor show and now the company has revealed that it will show off the car at the upcoming Frankfurt show.
Volkswagen T-Roc is the company’s smallest SUV till date and according to information provided by the company, it will be be officially revealing the car on August 23, 2017.
The VW T-Roc measures just 4,179mm in length, and is a good 200mm short than the Tiguan. The video that the company released shows the T-Roc has a robust and muscular design on the outside and funky, dual-tone colours on the interior. The car will come fitted with VW’s Active Info Display – essentially a virtual instrument cluster and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
The car will be built on the carmaker’s flexible MQB platform and is expected to get a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged common rail diesel engine. The engine will be mated to a six-speed, dual-clutch auto transmission. There may also be smaller 1.0-litre petrols and 1.6-litre diesels which will be offered on lower-spec cars.
